Biodiversity Sensitive Urban Design (BSUD)
BSUD is a framework for urban development that aims to improve outcomes for nature and humans in cities.
There are five principles:
- Maintain or create habitat for target species
- Facilitate dispersal
- Minimise disturbance and other threats
- Facilitate natural processes (such as pollination)
- Facilitate positive human-nature interactions
